My amazing, God-filled, trip to Honduras is over. Thanks Mark Brumbach, Jeffry Yorks, Dave Monks, Myers Lorson, and Scott Lorson for going with me, and your hard work building the wall at Happy World School in San Marcos de Colon.
We played with the kids, visited a battlefield, bought some cool stuff from Gonzales Boot Shop, ate well, and watched the Independence Day parade. Thank you, Pastor Aquiles, for your hospitality and friendship!
Part two began when mi hermanos en Christo left for home. I stayed with Fernando Espinal and Madelen Oliva at their home in Project Victoria, Cofradia. I reunited with about ten children from the orphanage. I hadn’t seen most of them since 2015. My how they have grown! Lots of hugs, kisses and sonrisas (smiles).
On Saturday, Indira arranged a BBQ. About fifteen young adults previously from Hogar Renacer came for it. We spent hours reminiscing, laughing, teasing, and hugging each other. It was heartwarming to see how well all of them are doing; everyone is employed or in college.
Thanks to Friends of Renacer for the scholarships they provide.
Gracias Indira por su amor!
