2026 January Mission Trip

1–2 minutes

The second day was another work day at Happy World School. We painted the yellow lower part of the exterior walls. Tomorrow we will paint the dark brown parts. Most of the painting is being done by Barb, Bob, Jeanne, and Pete. Doug and Robin are doing plumbing repairs. There are three toilets and three sinks that needed work and one toilet to replace.

Day three included painting, fellowship, and having fun with sixty-seven kids at Vacation Bible School. I estimate that there were about twenty more than on day one. So, to me, that demonstrates that the day one kids enjoyed themselves and shared their experiences with others.

We also witnessed God’s blessing at Happy World School today. COPECO (Contingency Commission of Honduras) delivered thousands of dollars worth of cleaning supplies and food. Each family, including staff, received a month’s worth of food staples. Each kid also got a bag of candy.

At the end of Vacation Bible School, We celebrated with a picnic for all the students, their families, and the staff. The teachers and Delmi, the cook, prepared three-hundred chicken salads and gallons of punch.
